Advergaming is an acronym between the words advertising and gaming, it refers to the use of video games to communicate advertising messages.

There are 3 types of advergames:

  • Associative: they aim is to connect the brand or product to lifestyle, the environment or an activity
  • Illustrative: in which the product is the main player of the game
  • Demonstrations: in which the consumer virtually “tries out” the product or service within the game

The marketing objectives that can be achieved with advergaming are:

  1. Brand awareness
  2. Increase Target loyalty
  3. Increase website’s traffic
  4. Reach more consumers

Advergaming allows you to communicate the characteristics of a product or service, letting the user – the main player of the game – having fun.
