Advergaming is an acronym between the words advertising and gaming, it refers to the use of video games to communicate advertising messages.
There are 3 types of advergames:
- Associative: they aim is to connect the brand or product to lifestyle, the environment or an activity
- Illustrative: in which the product is the main player of the game
- Demonstrations: in which the consumer virtually “tries out” the product or service within the game
The marketing objectives that can be achieved with advergaming are:
