Senior Networking Consulting

The ideal candidate will have a support background with a more recent experience of Senior Network Consultant, which is a must for this role. Experience of being part of an active  IT team is desirable. The candidate will be working in Basel.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Installing, Configuring, and supporting an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system
  • Monitoring network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
  • Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations;
  • Performing data backups and disaster recovery operations;
  • Performing network support and new service deployment & implementation; troubleshooting & operation support for critical tickets related to Service
  • Troubleshooting network issues in network and application layer
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
  • Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture
  • Very good english

QlikView Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a support background with a more recent experience of Business Intelligence which is a must for this role. Experience of being part of an active  IT team is desirable. The candidate will be working with peers in different countries for the technologies they provide support for within the business.

Act as the subject matter expert for QlikView within the group.

Receive stakeholder requirements, able to question requirements, utility and business value.

To work cross functionally with colleagues and suppliers to inform and develop the Worldwide IT roadmap.

Skills and Requirements:

  • University degree or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT department.
  • Comfortable as a subject matter expert for key technical areas for the business (including QlikView and QlikSense).
  • Customer focused, articulate and methodical with experience of working in a busy support department.
  • Good understanding of application integration and delivery challenges. Must be flexible and adaptable to business demands and needs.
  • Proven experience with QlikView.
  • Experience with QlikSense will be an advantage.
  • Comfortable writing SQL queries and procedures.
  • Experience in building and testing QlikView dashboard functionality and administration.
  • A clear understanding of QlikView architecture and building QVDs and QVWs.
  • Extract, transform and load multiple data sources (e.g. flat files, SQL databases, etc.) into QlikView.

Certified in:

  • ITIL V3 Foundation

Area of Expertise:

  • ITIL Service processes of Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Request fulfillment,
  • Configuration Management and Service Desk function.
  • Handled multiple projects for IT Service Management (ITSM) tools (ServiceNow)
  • Implementation and customization based on ITIL best practices.
  • Clear understanding of process-centric IT, the interaction of human-based and system-based processes and business events, and Service Management best practices
  • Excellent consulting skills – Requirements gathering and problem solving methods, Communication and presentation skills and Client management
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of ServiceNow at an architectural level.
  • Knowledge of other ITSM tools at a similar level would be an advantage.
  • Integration of ServiceNow with other applications & toolsets
  • Service Portal development hands on
  • Java Scripting  and Angular JS  hands on experience
  • Create and modify workflows
